Welcome to my page! you may encounter feelings of excitement, enjoyment or boredom. most probably boredom. Like I've always thought, bloggers are for attention seekers and bad spellers, but hey, i thought i might as well give it a go, since im halfway to becoming an attention whore.
Since this is my first post and I am currently starting the big move to Australia, i thought i would do the good, the bad and the ugly on the country itself, since so many people believe the place to be full of Kangaroo's, Koala's and convicts.
NIGHT LIFE
The Good :
Okay first of all, Australia is FULL of concerts. in the summer, there isn't a day that passes without one, and the most notable one for 2010 would be the notorious band ACDC themselves. Not your Taste? they have so many more different choices to pick that it doesn't matter! Even better the club life is amazing, with cheap drinks and foam party's.
Yeah, that could be youThe Bad:
The only problem with this is that the nightlife is mostly located in the city centre, so travelling will take a while to get there, and taxi rides will be a bit more expensive than usual
The Ugly:

The Ugly:
That could be you too!Just make sure that when you go out to the clubs in Australia, don't get too cocky and make sure you aren't too drunk, then you'll be fine.
The Animals

Every time that a person thinks of Australia, they want to see something like Skippy the kangaroo, Koala's or a dingo (wouldn't know why in the Dingo's case). These animals are very easy to see, if you are in the right place, for example, it's really easy to spot a Kangaroo in Western Australia (they even have kangaroo crossing signs because of the expanse amount of them!), but then again ,its going to be impossible to spot a Koala in that region, since it isnt their environment.
The Good:
There are places which people can go to in order to see these animals, not like a zoo, but more of a conservation area. For this reason, its much more enjoyable and easy to see the animals in their real state, and not in captivity. Furthermore, since most of these animals are undisturbed by the inhabitants by Australia, it is sometimes possible to see an animal (like a bandiccot) in your own back garden.
The Bad
The problem with all these animals is that they are literally EVERYWHERE. There wasn't a day that i have slept in Australia, where i wasn't woken up by a Magpie. You would think they are like the crows from everywhere else until you heard them,

My god they sound like old women dying. And they wake you up every morning along with the sound of every other creature bounding around where you live. But hey, that alright since all of the rest of the animals, like the Kangaroo's are harmless right?
The Ugly
EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL IN AUSTRALIA IS DANGEROUS (in their own way of course!). Sure Kangaroo's may seem harmless, but have you ever stopped to think how they defend themselves?
And that is just the foot"The hind legs of the kangaroo are powerful weapons. One long claw, hard as bone or steel, and sharp as a knife at the point, gives the kangaroo an implement, says a writer in the Scientific American, that can kill a man or beast with one blow."
Feeling safe now? and that is just one animal, done even let me start on the Stonefish....(skip to 2:48)
The Temperature
The Good
To those who prefer hot climates or seeing the sun, rather than living in the gray
of the clouds, i would strongly recommend a stay in Australia. One of the best parts of coming to Australia (unless you're as white as me), Is being able to go to the beach in the middle of the day and soak up the sun to get that tan that you've always wanted. It isn't only the beaches that you would need to go to; there are parks, natural reserves and other places, which would help you to bronze that skin, and it doesn't even take that long because of the temperature. The Bad
Australia has no-ozone layer. Most Australians would tell you themselves that it is a danger to lie in the sun for more than half an hour. After being taught the "Slip-Slap-Slop" Sun Cream method and witnessing the current rise in skin cancer and melanoma, most Australians prefer to spend less time in the sun compared to the tourists.
This is quite a large disadvantage of the rise in climate around Australia, but it isn't the only effect.
The Ugly
What was even worse to me was that the rise in climate meant a rise in the temperature of the sea. most would think that this would mean a nicer experience of the water becuase it was less cold than before. WRONG. this makes it more habitable for other species to have a more "pleasant" living place, the worst being the jellyfish and the great white shark,

"Fatalities are rare: just 25 around Australia in the last 20 years; the last death off New South Wales was in 1993"
Although this is true, it could be said that the shark attacks are becoming increasingly worse as the temperature increases with the rise of the climate change. Three shark attacks were reported last summer, with the most notable being in Port Kennedy , West Australia,
"Mr Guest, a father of three and a banker with Bankwest in Perth, was snorkelling with his son Daniel, 24, about 30m off the beach when he was attacked... They were looking for crabs in 4-5m of water. Daniel was just metres away when the 5m killer struck his father...A witness said he saw the shark rolling and splashing in the water before Mr Guest's son got to the beach."
Definitely enough to keep me off the beaches in Australia!
Conclusion
For me, the bad and the ugly of this does not really matter, due to my huge fascination of the outdoors and animals, but i would say to those of the weak-earted to prepare themselves before coming to West Australia, it isn't another theme park.
I am definitely excited to go
